Is it possible to fly from any part of the USA to New Zealand in just 1 and 1/2 hours? Someone has just said that it's possible.

Obviously they don't know their geography very well. The closest point of departure from the US would be LAX, and it is somewhere in the area of a 14 hour flight from there. Ask your friend to come up with any flight from any website they'd like that is less than 14 hours, otherwise what they are proposing is simply nonsense.

I'm not sure, but American Samoa is down there in the South Pacific around New Zealand. It's a US territory, so it counts.
