  • Pinkjingles, how is everything? Did you get the extension and how was it done? I have 3 more weeks to collect.
  • Hi Taurus, I too am ending ui benefits soon: last benefit check on 10/13, and it is only a partial. Have you heard anything yet? I was laid off with a large group of people, and we are all in the same boat - the one that sails in the dark. I have emailed the UI office, and asked them for the courtesy of some information - nothing worse than repeatedly being told over the phone not to call back! I am hoping it is automatic. I remember years ago when my husband was laid off, it was very simple, and we did not experience a delay in payments, but nothing seems that easy any more! Any info anyone has will be greatly appreciated, as my friends have all stayed in touch and we email any info we can. Good luck to ALL! ~Vita
  • Hi Taurus, Well, I filed for my last, partial check yesterday, and I did it online to see what was happening. After the lovely BENEFITS EXHAUSTED line, I read further down and it stated that: "Our records indicate that you may be eligible for an extended benefit claim. A claim will be filed for you. You will be notified by mail of your eligibility and if you are eligible, the date on which you should next claim benefits." It has been a while. Have you received any further info? I have a chain going with all the people I was laid off with, and it would be great to benefit from your week ahead of us. Thank you. You know the uncertainty is the worst, more for some of us than others in our group. It seems to be getting tougher every day to find a job, and a few of our groups' spouses have been laid off too. ~Vita
