No, but maybe they should. Did you know that mummifies Egyptians have been found with red hair and also Aztecs and Incas - so they pop up anywhere and also red haired people have a higher pain threshold than any other hair colour. Something to be proud of.

I think they definitely should be preserved, for historical reasons and perhaps given some advantages, like parking spaces close to pub entrances, discounts on beer (especially Guinness), aswell as classes on modern relationship manners and the finer intricacies of women.

Not unless large groups of red haired people congregate, develop a culture, and have a lot of little red-haired babies.
