Is this a gibson 6 string acoustic guitar sunburst said to be early 60's it has a black pick guard w/dove 5 red flowers and green leaves sticker has been torn off and the closest thing to a model # i have is on the back of the neck rubbed off reads 600

    I can't believe no one has answered your question since July 2008! Yes, this sounds like a Gibson guitar called the "Dove." Does it say "Gibson" at the top above the tuning keys? If the word "Gibson" is inlaid with pearl, then it is probably a Gibson Dove and maybe worth $800 - 1600, depending on age and condition. But there were many copies of this guitar made by Asian companies. Some of the copies were good and worth having, and some were bad. If you like it and it sounds good to you, keep it and enjoy it! I'm sure you have found out through other means by now, but if not, post a photo and I'll look at it for you.
