Help answer this question below.

I had a contract with Verizon Wireless and I purchased one of their phones, I did not renew the contract, when it expired. I would like to use the phone again(sitting in a drawer), can I make this phone a pay as you go phone? or is it useless. Thank you

    with the verizon phones you can do a number of things with it.
    1. activate it with pageplus cellular. they currently have prepaid minute plans, prepaid unlimited talk and text plan (39.95 per month) and 1200 plan (1200 minutes per month + 1200 text and picture messages)
    2. you can get it flashed to cricket (basic flash "talk and text only" will run you from 20.00 to 50.00 dollars and full flashing "talk, txt, pix and internet" about 60.00 to 80.00) and either get a monthly plan or paygo ($1.00/talk, $2.00/talk and text or $3.00 talk/text and web, a day/ only on the days you use the phone)
    3. take it to an independent cell phone dealer and sell it or trade it for money of the price of a new phone (trading usually brings more value then straight sale, and most stores do not do even trades, you have to add some money to make the deference)
    4. sell it on ebay (the best return for your investment if you are experienced in ebay sales.)

    If the phone has a SIM inside, you can use it by placing another SIM from another provider.
