    A third of the country lies north of the arctic circle.
    The border with Russia measures 1313 kilometres. In the west lies Sweden (borderline: 586 km.), in the north Norway (729 km. bordeline) and in the south and southwest Finland borders to the Botnic Sea. The surface of Finland is 337.000 square km. This includes the Åland-islands before the Swedish coast.
