My VCR plays tapes recorded in SP, but appears to have a tracking problem when playing an EP tape. Auto and Manual tracking do not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

  I have just purchased a 42 inch LG plasma and i have a couple of high quality stereo vcrs both of which look shaky in playback.when i watch on my 11 year old jvc tv the problem is gone is this a matter of incompability?
