What percentage of Iceland's electricity is provided by geothermal power plants?

    I haven't found an answer with specific mention of "electricity." If I do, I'll edit this posting to add the new information.

    I did, however, get some information from http://www.iceland.is that might be useful: as of 2000, 53.9% of Iceland's "total energy demand" was being met by geothermal energy. I have also seen that this figure is much higher if you look specifically at central heating in Icelandic homes, 85% of which comes from geothermal energy. Hope this helps.
