Get one of those alarm clocks with the two big bells that the hammer vibrates between. They are cheap and they will wake the neighbors!

There are alarms that you can plug vibrating devices or/and lamps. You put the vibrating device under your pillow (depending on the device) and the lamp by your bed.

I have two alarm clocks. One really loud one across the room and one quieter one next to my bed. This helps with making sure if you forget to set one correctly-at least one will go off. I've slept right through both of them only once and I still got to work on time. I have a really tough time getting to work-I get there 2 minutes 'til everyday cutting it close.

Some people set two or more clocks to go off at intervals around the room. You can set some computers to call you on your phone with a wake up call.

If you shut off alarm clock and go back to sleep, then place the alarm clock on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed when it goes off. If the alarm itself does not wake you up because it's too quiet, get a different alarm clock with a louder alarm. I use a travel alarm myself, which increases the frequency of the alarm ring over about a 60 second period. It starts with a simple beep... every second or so, they goes into a double beep, then a quadruple beep pattern... If I'm very tired or am not going to get much sleep, I place it on the other side of the room. That's what works for me... Good luck...! ;-)
