  • Easy has a button, simple doesn't have anything cool to go with it.
  • I think easy means it's easy to do, and simple means not much brain power involved.
  • Easy means you can do it with little brain power because it is not difficult and little effort is needed Simple means the whole context of it doesn't need much explanation and it isn't very complex
  • Easy means that it requires little effort to achieve. Simple can also mean this, but the main meaning is that the constituent parts are not complex. "I find mental arithmetic easy." "The solution turned out to be simple."
  • easy is how something is done, the procedure is not hard to do. Simple means it doesn't have complex parts but takes attention. Something simple to do may not be easy to do, just not complex.
  • Something may be simple when you know how to do it, but it may not have been easy to get there. For example, Einstein's mathematical statement relating mass and energy is rather simple: E = MC^2. However, coming up with this equation wasn't easy. So, "simple" could be thought of as uncomplicated, whereas "easy" implies that something is effortless. Another way to look at it is how the words are used. Think of a couple guys discussing a standard topic... let's say Girls. If they say a girl is "simple" it might be because she aint so high on the old IQ scale. However, when they say she is "easy," well that is another matter entirely. But, being one doesn't preclude the other. So, some may be "simple and easy," which usually results in another label: "Popular." :)
  • Easy! Simple is easy, but easy is not necessarily simple.
  • easy is looking at something but doing nothing simple is digging a hole but maybe not easy
  • This is one of my favorite quotes by Albert Einstein - "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." - makes sence hey?
