(because if I pick somebody at random, that person is equally likely to be any age, so there is a 1/23000 chance that it is that person's 42nd birthday, etc., and an equal chance that it is that person's dying day) 6600000 / 23000 = 287 people per day. Birthrate would be about the same, a teensy bit higher. Ok, so, 287 per day, divided by 60*24 minutes per day, is 0.2, or one-fifth of a person dies per minute. So one person dies every five minutes.
