If God is the all powerful creator of the universe and everything in it, how can you choose a god that suits you? Is the god you choose really God, or is it an extension of you that you are worshipping?

God gave us all free will. If we choose to worship or not worship it has no effect on his being all powerful.

This question reminds me of why I love being an Agnostic. While theists of all flavors strive to interpret and understand the will of their particular God, I merely figure that us mere mortals cannot understand the nature or intent of any divine powers and concentrate on other things. That said, I do believe in Karma in my own way so I try not to be TOO much of a dick because I don't want it to come back and haunt me.

God is a title. not his name. God is all that is good and humble and forgiving and trustworthy, GOd is love, dont find a god, find love. NOthing is more powerful than lae, it is almighty, nothing can overcmoe it, nothing can overcome GOD

Indeed. How can you know there's only one of 'em? Could have been an entire pantheon. How does anyone know it's a He and not a She (or an It)? Of course - if they're all imaginary, you can make them whatever you like.

You're assuming that there is just one god. There could very well be many. The universe is a very diverse place, lacking the type of strict order one might expect from a one-deity "dictatorship".

God is not Basken Robbins. He does not come in 31 different flavors for us to choose from. We are either for Him or against Him. I do know what you mean because people tend to latch on to the things of faith that most suit them. But I honestly believe that it is not about us but about Him and His will. Believing in God and trying to live for Him is hard in this world and we will all fall short and society will judge us for it. However if what He says is true in the end it is only His judgement that will matter. I hope this makes a little since. I definately have a lot to learn!
