Rare candies are special items that are used to level up Pokemon. Each rare candy raises a Pokemon's level by 1, regardless of how many exp. points does it need to level up. Keep in mind however that rare candies do not involve EV points, which could weaken your Pokemon.

The rare candies are spread all over the region. My suggestion, have a Zigzagoon in your party. Its special ability allows it to pick up items. Check it every once in a while and take its items to increase your chances of finding a rare candy. Also, while your in caves or just walking around in general, look for single or out of place rocks and examine them. There is a good chance that you will find something.
