The point is that others fought to give us the right to vote and we shouldn't take it for granted. There's a lot of voter apathy right now. There are no guarantees. If you don't like the candidates and really want to send that message to Washington--VOTE!--even if it is for an independent candidate.

Just pick one. Or don't. That's my advice. I'm reeeeeeeeeeealy smart too.

Dont vote, like it matters anyways lol

In Cali, your vote probably won't matter - but this election is going to be closer than the past elections in Cali. I can't say that I blame you, though. I'm lucky to still be registered in Florida - one of five states that actually matter, even if we do misread ballots and fuck-up an election.

Why is it that this is our Country and our Future is at stake and nor the people nor the candidates seem concerned...Im not saying that any of these Candidates are qualified to run as they all seem too focused on the TITLE of PRESIDENCY as a pose to our The People, our Nations Freedom and the Issues at Hand...Im telling you that once a Real Candidate has been announced, Remember this is our country and we the only ones that can make a change...

There's an old adage that applies here: All politics is local. I'm in a state much like yours, where I live in a conservative area of a state that is overwhelmingly liberal. I've come to distrust Democrats at the federal level, because the last two Democratic administrations have done everything they can to screw this area's economy over, while Republican ones have helped the local economy. (On the local level, it's the exact opposite, so I have no problem voting for a Democratic mayor.) So just ask yourself this: Over the past thirty-some years, which party's White House has been better for my LOCAL area?

The supposed two choices are horrendous and either of them will destroy what is left of America. I feel your pain. Voting, in this day and age, is just enabling. Corruption has totally taken over.

This link was actually pretty helpful to me: http://glassbooth.org/ It asks what your views are on a bunch of subjects, then tells you which candidate shares the most with you and why.
