By "pyroclastic" I assume you mean bombs, fragments, etc. The only one I can think of at this time is an acidic -- high quartz content -- magma. It is thick and hard to squirt out, clogging the tubes which causes a build up of pressure. When the pressure builds sufficiently there is a rather spectacular explosion.
