How does AB choose the topic of the day?

That's funny, I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I suppose the admins find a good question that was asked that day or the day before(??) and they vote on it to be the topic of the day. That is my guess.....

I believe it is all up to the staff, I asked a cl about that once, thats basically what they told me, great question, Ill keep track of it, and maybe Ill learn something!

The staff pick the topic randomly using both new and old post. They see ones they like and post them.

From what I understand, the staff ( Rich & Joel ) randomly choose this question. Also, from what I read, for a long time, it was an inactive feature, but they now see how useful it can be. I hope this helps.

In the current blog, Rich does not mention how it is chosen. He does ask for our opinions on how it is handled, so I suggest you go over there and talk to him. http://www.answerbag.com/blog/comments/181
