What is the grinding sound when I'm driving my 2005 Cavalier? Some have said it was the brakes, but it grinds as I move forward, not when I brake. Others say there could be a rock lodged in my wheel? Frequency of sound increases with speed.

it could be any number of things. You need to have it checked out by a mechanic. it could be anything from a rock stuck in your wheel, to a bad wheel bearing
