I need help my ps2 slimline wont spin disks, is there anything i can do to fix the problem

Make sure its closed properly if it is check the top of the flippy part thing ya know? and see if anythings broken off. The slim ps2 uses "sensors" to detect if its closed or not. If those sensors arent blocked the disc wont spin.

my ps2 slim will not work the disc dose not spin even when the lid is open the memory card menu dose not come up on screen when i turn it on it sounds like it working for about 3 seconds then just cuts out can any 1 help me with my problem
