  • This sounds like a problem with the game itself....not the GBA. Most likely, this will be the fault of dirty contacts on the game cartridge. You can usually take care of this problem simply by blowing gently into the open end of the game cartridge, which should be sufficient to clear dust off the contacts. If this doesn't do the trick, apply a modest amount of rubbing alchohol to the cotton end of a q-tip, or a flattened, folded paper-towel (not so much that it is dripping off the tip), and run it gently along both sides of to "ciruit board" on the open end of the cartridge. Once finished, allow it one or two minutes to dry, and fire it up. Good luck!
  • If it is working with GB color games but not the GBA games it could be a bad battery or low battery since GBA games take more power. Thats from the Nintendo website troubleshooter.
