I work in the pet industy, and when I see this the majority of the time it is fleas. Flea dermatitis is very common in causing reoccuring scabs. Many people treat their cat with a flea product and expect that to take care of it. Even if you have never seen a flea on the animal. Fleas spend the majority of time in your carpet and without treating your house it may be hard to concur them as eggs will continue to hatch.

Best way to solve your problem, however is to determine the cause first, then treat the casue.
It can also be food allergies, or enviromental allergies, both less common than flea allergies

  • The cat needs to be taken to a vet to check its skin. If it is in the same spot then it is an injury which isn't healing properly and may need an antibiotic. If it is in different spots then the cat has something wrong with its skin which needs to be looked at.

if they look like scraps like from crawling under stuff use peroxide on them to clean them and use antibiotic cream. if they look weird take them to the vet.
