  • Did she? Shortly after WNTW Wayne was back with Janet Jackson styling her shows and appearances.
  • Of the three hosts that have been on the show, only Wayne Scot Lukas is the only practicing professional stylist. Thus, its strange that the producers decided to fire him unless you know the context for this decision. It is simply untrue that Wayne was fired because he dressed inapproriately fo the show. During season 1, with no budget for a professional stylist, Stacy's clothing decisions weren't above reproach either. Remember, the the fishnet overshirt she had on over a peasant blouse or that animal print coat with the plaid skirt. It is far different from what Stacy wears today, with the help of a professional stylist. The real reason was that the producers wanted to increase the number of shows, and crank them out like a production line. However, Wayne had the highest standards and that would have slowed production down. Thus, they knew that even though he was the real expert, they couldn't keep him. So, they went behind his back and started auditioning people to see how they would interact with Stacy. The producers were looking more for on camera charisma than knowledge or skill in the other host. Stacy didn't get Wayne fired per se, but she wasn't particulary loyal by warning Wayne what was going on. In fact, she was very eager to get a new co-host. There had been some clashes between the two since Wayne had better credentials, he had been telling Stacy what to do- to interact more with the fans, to stay longer on the set to make sure the MO was perfect, etc.. Stacy has gone on record to describe working with Wayne during the first season as "Oh my God, it was so nerve-racking. It really was."
  • Thanks annie lee,... great answer and honest
  • Having known Wayne for a number of years and having worked with him on numerous occasions, the thought of him being "difficult" is rather impossible to believe. He is a wonderful person and quite talented, "wardrobe malfunction" or not. Stacy on the other hand, I have found to be difficult. I had the displeasure of having her take over my store to shoot an episode once. May I add, this was the first and last time I would deal with her. I figured since my name was on the lease, her narcissistic behavior was best left in another designers boutique. If you're looking for examples of "what not to wear", start with her numerous "wardrobe malfunctions". Oh, you don't remember them? Well D-list celebrities rarely leave an impression... unless you're Kathy Griffin.
  • Who is Wayne Scot Lukas?
  • As someone who has had dealings with Wayne Scott Lukas it did not surprise me when I found out producers had fired him. While he, like numerous others, indeed has experience in his field, in the long run, what did him in was not his style sense, but his character/behavior. I can vouch for this fact as this was my experience with him as well. His egotistical manner and inability to take direction and criticism, to the point of over the top meanness and vindictiveness, made dealing with him extremely difficult and wearing. This is exactly what I am told occured on the show. I also have the word of HSN, who, for a time, carried his line of fashion, and the scenario again repeated himself, to where they did not invite him back to continue selling his goods. There were also significant problems with his line, but I wont get into this further as this topic is about his dealings with Stacy London. There is no doubt though, that Lukas has a small but devout fan base who seem to follow the self-acclaimed stylist with religious-like ferver; ready to defend the man and his name at all cost, who, in their eyes, appears to be able to do and create no wrong.
  • being one that does not watch those shows, I honestly had no idea who Stacy was until her tacky detergent commercials. she certainly was un-impressive there. and regarding this Wayne Scot Lukas individual... again, had no idea who he was... other than he likes to leave snippy, hateful messages on other people's FaceBook comments. comments that are not even his to comment on. one can only imagine how that petty, pretentious, and simpering behaviour translates off-line into the real world. i am glad that i do not have to work with that ... have before, and won't again. there is just something about having an attitude and very little to back it up. "excuse me, dear, your insecurity is showing."
