That's a great idea, but you would need a moderator to ensure that opinions didn't degenerate into simple judgements. I am definitely far too opinionated and somewhere to release my pent up furies would be conducive to my blood pressure. Why not suggest it to Joel himself?

If there is going to be an opinionbag, then it'll surely be very very boring.. because there're no questions to either be asked or answered!! Just.. 'this is what i think' statements

hahaha. I asked this because I feel bad when I look atthe new questions section...all the ones where people need to know something specific are unanswered and then the ones like "what is your favorite kind of noodle" get like 8 answers and push the straight questions into archival mode. im guilty of the opinion questioning and answering sometimes, though i try to stick with the straight Q n A type things. i think the opinion question and answers tend to yield sporadic ratings too which i think doesnt reflect the person's actual ability at answering straight questions (someone who only answers opinions may get an A rating just for participation while there could be a case of someone who answers straight questions might have a lower rating if they answered a couple opinion questions people didn't agree on). i think Opinionbag would be fun. you could post questions with pictures e.g. "Do I look sexy in these underpants?"
