No. But some, even a lot, of people might die. Global warming is not going to suddenly fry everybody. But it is going to raise sea levels, so that people living on low-lying islands will find that storms wash right oover their homes. It may well reduce crop yields so that people who are now hungry will starve. It may well cause people to move around, causing wars and uprisings in which people will be killed. Global warming will cause changes - some for the worse, some possibly for the better. In the couse of such large-scale changes, it is easy for people to get hurt.

It would be nice if we could even be sure that global warming is taking place. Unfortunately, the only people who can tell us are so politicized and agendified that we don't know who to trust. Reflexively I distrust the global-warming crowd. They are generally anti-capitalist, many greens were previously communists--Gorbachev is the most prominent example--and seem to think that the weather is a bigger enemy than radicals who would like to detonate thermonuclear bombs in all of our cities. And instead of debating the issue openly, they try their best to silence any dissenting voices. It seems like a religion to them, with all heretics to be organically composted.

We know there have been at least 2 Ice Ages in the Earth's history, SO it must have warmed up after each one. How do we know that our present "Gobal Warmming" is the normal cycle for Earth? Who is to say what the "Ozone Layer" was 2000 years ago, no one made records, we have only been monitoring it a few decades.

If you look at merteorogical weather patterns through history you will notice that the Earth has a certain pattern of warming up and cooling off. We are currently just in a warming up phase. True the phase is coming quicker than previous phases but I don't think it indicates any kind of future mass extinction; however, history does show a patterm of mass extictions separating eras so who really knows...

In the 70's or 80's these same global warming experts were warning the world that the world was freezing. A few years later we had some of the hottest summers on record and the theory was scrapped. Though I do think Global Warming should be took more serious I dont think it will end the world anytime soon.
