You can not catch groundon in Pokemon sapphire because it is Kyorge in Sapphire Groudon is in Pokemon Ruby and Raquazay is in Pokemon Emerald so I would get pokemon ruby if you want groudon I have caught him before in ruby in he den so I hoped I helped you with your questions.

lol ill tell you what you can get ok believe me.you cant get groudon in sapphire thats only in ruby but you dont need emerold to get rayquaza lol I have one that I caught in sapphire ill tell you all the lendary pokemon you can get in sapphire jirachi,rayquaza,kyogre deoxys,mew,regice,regsteel,regrock,latias of you want to count him as a legend,lugia celebi

It's impossible to catch it in Sapphire but it is possible to catch it in ruby or emerald then you need to trade it to Sapphire.

In Pokemon Sapphire Kyogre (is the main pokemon) is exclusive to Pokemon Sapphire version. In Pokemon Ruby Groudon (is the main Pokemon) so if your playing Pokemon Sapphire and you want a Groudon you will need a Pokemon Ruby version or an Emerald version to obtain a Groudon. Remember both games are required to complete the Pokedex. No matter how many Pokemon Sapphire games you acquire you can never ever obtain the exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon Ruby with out the opposite game cartridge, unless your cheating or something.
