I do that everytime I fill up. Of course I use anywhere from 30 to 60 gallons a day. It adds up. I am declaring bankruptcy in a brand new pair of boots.

I'd go across the street for a penny less.

Heck yeah I'd go across the street to save 5 cents per gallon. I wouldn't go out of town for that cheap, but across the street is fine.

I have virtually no brand loyalty. If I can get the same thing for a little less without much effort, then I will take it. All those little savings add up over time and this tendency for people to shop around is what helps to hold prices down in a market economy.

I would cross the street for 5 cents/gallon less. I may save only $1, but it's my dollar.

I usually don't notice the competitors price until I have started pumping the gas. It's so expensive at this point I only buy a couple of gallons to get me where I'm going. It's been a while since I filled up the tank of my truck.

Yes, I would. As a secret government agent I have a responsibility to the tax payers to save where I can.
