  • Yes, I can do for four days in Laos.
  • I'll go!
  • There is plenty to see for 4 days in Laos and the value is there also. Just make sure your visa is valid and if you cross the border more than once, make sure you have a multi-entry visa.
  • Laos, Cambodia and Viet Nam all still have one-entry Visas as far as I know and when in those countries, some tours take you across the borders for the day and then return at night. I was in Thailand just 2 weeks ago and speaking to a gentleman who had left Thailand for 10 days to travel to Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam and on one day in either VN or Laos, they took a day trip to Anghor Wat or some other temple and when returning to either VN or Laos that night, he was stopped at the border with a one-entry visa. He ultimately got through but had to pay cash for another visa. Just a small caveat.
  • There is a multi-entry visa for Laos but it is generally for business people and can be be purchased either ahead of time or at a border country. My point is that "IF" you intend to cross the border or "IF" a tour you are with happens to cross the border and return to Laos, you will need a multi-entry visa. Once in, once out---no problem at all.
  • Yes. But I would combine it with a trip to Thailand. However, if you don't have the time, I suggest you stay in the capital city, Vientiane, and make it a point to see these: 1. Wat Chan 2. Wat Ong Teu 3. Wat Mixai 4. Nam Phu 5. Homduang Boutique Hotel 6. National Museum 7. Presidential Palace 8. Wat Si Saket 9. Haw Pha Kaew 10. Wat Si Muang 11. Talaat Sao (Morning Market) 12. Patuxai (Vientiane's version of the Arc de Triomphe) 13. That Luang Source: The book "Insight Guides"
