  • I would call the cable company. They will probably make you go through some troubleshooting before they send someone out to fix it (if they even need to). Sometimes, they make a mistake and turn off the wrong person's internet service (that's happened to me before). One thing you could try (before you call), if you haven't done so already, is resetting the cable modem. That involves either unplugging the modem for about 10 seconds (or just pressing the small reset button). Do this while the computer is off. Then plug things back in and power up the computer. That's what my cable company had me do the last time I had a problem.
