  • 2001 Model WS55859 Mitsubishi HDTV 1080 - rear projection - I feel and am probably wrong that the sleep timer is stuck. We've pushed the reset button, and used the remote to deactivate the sleep mode. The lamp cover is attached correctly. Do you think a capacitor? A lamp? a module? Thank you!

  • If it's an internal projection TV, it may need a new bulb- but some actually project via a small picture tube (the same kind as in a regular "tube" TV, only smaller) and some mirrors. usually a light will flash on the TV (or the projector box, if you're reffering to a mounted projector that's aimed at the wall/a screen). Some newer projection TVs somehow predict when the bulb is nearing the end of it's life, and will display "Please replace the bulb" or something along those lines- I've seen a projection TV do that before
