  • The very first place to look if you do not want to go and buy a good car manual is your local Ford dealer and ask to see a repair manual. You might try a rep at the service department desk, but they may ask specifically what you are looking for. If you don't know for sure, ask to see a manual for your car to locate it. When you find it you can either keep chatting with them or leave with the knowledge you have found. I suggest this before buying a manual at the local parts store because the local stores carry very watered down versions of good repair manuals. The service department at a dealership will have the best manuals and/or info on a CD ROM database (although you may have to sweet talk a tech into seeing this).
