"Sealab 2020 was a half-hour long. It was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and premiered on NBC on September 9, 1972. The series was based on earth in the year 2020. An underwater study into finding out about living conditions underwater take place in a domed city there. Dr. Paul Williams is working there when Captain Mike Murphy (and his niece Saly and nephew Bobby) and Sparks are rescued by Sealab divers and brought there to join the Doctor."
The way alot of Cartoon Network shows came about is that when the network got started they had no money for new shows. They basically told the network's programmers "Hey, we've already got all this old footage of old cartoons that you can do what you like with", which is why we have The Brak Show, Space Ghost Coast To Coast, and Sealab 2021. The original shows weren't that entertaining to start with. Many of them I remember when I was a kid. They are much better now.
