Has anyone had the essure procedure done for elective sterilization? How was it?

    I'm a guy who, because of injuries in childhood, had to have both testicles removed when I was 25.

    You can't get much more sterile than I am.

    I didn’t want to have a tubal ligation because I didn’t want incisions or the pain following that type of surgery. I was looking for something less traumatic and I didn’t want to become pregnant in my early forties.

    The procedure took about 30 minutes. I had only slight cramping upon waking, and was home in less than an hour. I slept for about 3 hours, got up took a shower, ate dinner, and went to an out-of-town football game. I sat on bleachers, yelled for my daughter’s team and enjoyed the game without any pain.
