Before he finally called i called his house and cell phone like 40 times in 1 year. sent like 10 letters. and he had no responce. I think that i went beyond means on finding him. basically baging for his attention, and he didnt seem really happy to speak with me. but, I know that i dont knwo him. i just feel torn. torn between feeling excited on speaking to him and having me in his life because he wants to be or feeling that he has to be because I'm his daughter

I am sorry to hear that. I didn't have all of that info. in the question. I am sorry he has abandoned you. Perhaps it is best to leave him in his own world. Focus on your child and build your world. He's a coward. Chasing cowards usually leaves you tired and no where.

he did not abandon me. I was kidnaped. (by my mother and her family) they tried to kill him . my mother always told me that the only reason i was here(with her) was she was made to take me,that they(her family) only wanted me because he did. i left home at 16 and never looked back

it makes me more upset becauese I understand his side of they story too,but, feel like he is not going to be in my life becsuse of what they did. when the divorce became final , he got me she did not even have visitation rights to me.
