is this for a hotel?? Or home?
I was a waitress in a hotel....they just want you to be presentable, customer service oriented, co-worker oriented, get along, go along.
Wear a dress, it shows you have respect for the position. Nylons, heels, the whole bit.
Good luck!! Say a prayer, cant go wrong with that.

Do ask a few things, you'll know what after they talk a while, just act interested.

What you wear doesn't matter much, since it's the employer who decides what the boy/girl working as a housekeeper shall wear.

wrong, it shows respect for the position, it matters alot. It's common knowledge, you always want to dress 1 1/2 times nicer than you'll dress everyday on the job, whether it be lawyer, doctor, housekeeper.

Yes, but there are many employers who don't care about that too. I know persons who worked as maids/nannies/housekeepers when they were young girls and they wore ordinary clothes (jeans, sweaters and th-shirts) at the interviews and they were accepted. But then they begun to works, they always had to be in uniform (like blouses and skirts, aprons and high-healed shoes)
