Hey you honest managers in here, can you give me an example in which you were inadvertantly rewarding behavior B while expecting behavior A?

For example ... rewarding perfect attendance but overlooking the fact that this may result in great workers staying home to combat the illness spread by a perfectly attending ne'er-do-well.

Yes, but mainly trying to postively reinforce a behavior and not thinking thru the downside. For example, perfect attendance at the expense of making the better workers ill! That's is the more subtle kind of thing I have in mind. And this is a serious question but can still be fun to laugh and learn.
