I need to cash my 401k. I want to know where to get info on my account and what do I need to do to cash it. I worked at the company that offered me this plan about 3 years ago. Can I still cash my 401k?

I'm assuming that you no longer work at the company. If so, you should be able to write to the company and ask them to refund the money they are holding in the 401k. Keep in mind that you will pay taxes on the money and a 10% penalty. A better option would be to roll the money over into an IRA or another 401k. If you do this, you won't have to pay the penalty or the interest. To do this, contact the company with your new IRA or 401k and they will get the money for you from the other company. Good luck!
