The sound of laughter. It can ease a situation and make you feel better. It helps you laugh along with it if it sounds funny enough :) Also the sound of music. That can make you feel better too and may make you want to sing along. Music can always put something nice into our day.

I'd say the sound of a horse drawn carriage on a cobblestone street. The hooves clogging on the stone accompanied by the wooden wheel rolling behind it is beautiful. If it's raining during the carriage's travel, all the more better.

Sounds that don't last very long are enticing, somehow you can never get enough. My favorite would have to be the sound thunder makes right before it crashes. You know it's gonna make a big boom, but it sounds like it's sneaking up on you.
