  • The Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) resemble a rough Collie in miniature, they are not a true miniature Collie. Shelties are intelligent, family oriented dogs that can be as happy in an apartment in a city as in a house in the country. They have a thick double coat that can come in many different colors and patterns. They are vocal dogs, with few health problems.
  • i would recommend the chihuahua because italian grey hounds have very delicate bones
  • I would recomend an IG, because They have less healthissues than chihuahua's in general. They have not been as fashionable as chihuahua's so you have a bigger cahnce of finding a reliable breeder. And because I really like em.
  • The only thing i know about chihuahuas are that they are really protective of their owners, pretty much unfriendly to everyone else. And, they have an awful yappy bark. But, IGs on the other hand... awww, i can't say enough good things about them. Yes, their bones are fragile because they have long thin legs, and i hear of stories that they break their legs if they play rough. Once at the dog park, i heard that awful sound of a dog yelping and crying... it was an IG... with possibly a leg break. i was in tears. Anyway, the IGs i know, and i have met quite a few, they don't really bark! And, they are sweet, love to cuddle, have really funny and silly personalities, and watching them try to eat something from the table is the funniest thing. They will go on their hind legs, and stretch their necks over the top of the table and walk on their 2 legs around the perimeter of the table, all while trying to grab something with their mouth. They are very sweet animals. But, they are hyper. They obviously love to run and are very fast. They are sensitive to cold so they are NOT outdoor dogs. but a friend of mine took their IG camping once, and it was fine hanging out next to the campfire with its jacket on. And she slept inside of the sleeping bag at the owners feet. Oh, yeah, you can put clothes on an IG so if you are into that thing, its fun. Their bodies are shaped different so it might be difficult to find the right fit. But i have heard from someone that full size greyhounds are really sweet and do well in apartments because they are couch potatoes, and just want to relax and cuddle (the retired racing dogs). And, that they are really really mellow. I don't know which i would choose... Italian or full size. They are both really neat dogs. Good luck. Im all about the IGs!
