Why should you be considered for this position over someone else? First, it is sometimes tough to toot your own horn enough and second, it is tough to point out faults of another.

I always hate "Name a positive and negative thing about yourself" come one that is just a double edge sword if I ever did see one. You don't want to seem arrogant and talk yourself up too much, but then again you don't really want to tell them what is wrong with you either. It gives me chills just thinking about it...;~}

on an interview they always ask if you have children. this is the hardest for me because then they want to know how dependable you are and how dependable is your babysitter.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I actually got the job by answering "sitting in your chair and asking the same question to new prospective employees" I do not advise anyone to do this unless you are being interviewed by a government agency. Civilian business managers will/might see this answer as a threat to their own position in their cushy job.
