because the bible is very anti feministic, and the people who are judgemental just follow the bible, instead of hypocritically just sayin it, they actually follow it. One wonders if they also stone their neighbors to death when they work on the sabbath...

simply because male priests and pastors are more common...it's been the practice for a long long time...such a change will obviously ignite a lot of skepticism...

It is to do with the position of men and women as set out by God. Many denominations interpret that to mean that women should not be in teaching positions.
If that is the custom in the denomination you are in, and you feel called by God to lead a congregation, the answer is simple, find one that does.
I am a woman. In the denomination I was with, women did not traditionally head up congregations, but we did have positions of influence, nevertheless.
In the congregation I am in now, and the one I help with in Bali, the rules are different. I have preached, and could head a congregation, should I desire to.
I haven't changed my theology, just the denomination I serve in has changed. If we were to return to the former denomination, it wouldn't worry me too much not to preach. I still could overseas, if I wanted to.

Because the Bible says that men should be the head of the church. this means that men will be the pastors. Women can still teach classes and Bible studies, but not lead the church. Why is it this way you ask? I don't know, but that is what the Bible says so I follow it. I'll put that on my list of things to ask God when I die. haha.
