  • ME! (Hand raised high) I was a top answerer on Immigration. I just got sick of the stupidity over there. I got suspended for answering the question "Is there a website where I can report illegal aliens?" My answer was a link to Department of Homeland Security Immigration. I got suspended for that. That was the final straw.

My suspension before that was for citing a link to www.IRS.gov for a question about taxes. I just don't get how things work over there. The form e-mail I got said that www.irs.gov was an objectionable website or something to that effect. I know the IRS is an objectionable organization, but that was just crazy.

My account had never been suspended, but I kept on receiving those Error 999 messages that prevented me from posting answers. What's the point of staying on Yahoo Answers, when we can't post answers?

I've had mine suspended 3 times over the last two years.
Mostly as a result of silly vindictive little trolls with nothing better to do than create multiple accounts and report people out of spite or jealousy.
Yahoo really needs to implement a means of determining a warranted violation notice, as opposed to a bogus report button troll. I've seen waay too many good people lose their accounts over this sort of thing.
My first two accounts were level 5. My current Yahoo Answers account is quite new, and level 2. I've really lost all interest in that forum. I just signed up here at 'Answerbag' today, and from what I can see it seems pretty cool. I like the "Comment Box" option below each answer. At Yahoo, they've been known to nail you for doing such a thing...they call it "Chatting".
I think this little 'Yahoo Answers' mock "Oops We're Sorry" page is great, and Y!A should consider using it: http://s236114576.onlinehome.us/err.htm

Their customers service ain't human because their responses are kinda robotic. Do they really read my complaints. I don't think so.

    Shatzee coming back?

I used to frequent YA and I did get some flags over there. You're not allowed to ask the silly nonsense questions over there and I love those. I found AB when i did a google search on something and it bought me here. It was like I died and gone to heaven compared to YA.

Yeah, i used it regulary, answeing science questions mainly, and having over 4000 best answers.

Had many reports during using it for no reason, and today logged on for the 3rd time in the last week, as had stopped using it previously to find my yahoo email, yahoo answers everything had been deleated.

I stopped before as Trolls kept reporting my good answers, getting them removed, but copying and pasting my answer before hand, so they get the best answer instead.

I gave up, but recently started again this week, and already got another 34 best answers.

Why bother, the trolls won, and i have lost all valuable filed from college which i saved on my email account, as well as contacts from school i will never see again.

Very dissapointed, and dont know what to do.

Apealled, and just got a message saying i have violated community terms, and from this message in email, i will no longer be able to use any yahoo account of mine.

me. I still do it a little because the questions there are more serious to a point and I like that so I have just started a third account to answer questions in mental health and things but I have that account about 2 weeks and already getting false Violations so I may not have it much longer. There is one person there who I know is a troll and has at least 8 accounts (I have her blocked) and she answers every question under all 8 accounts and then all 8 accounts "report" answers she doesn't agree with. That's what YA has come to.

    Yarnlady is happy every day

I've been on Yahoo!Answers ever since it started, and I've never had my account suspended. I did once have a computer glitch that prevented me from accessing my Yahoo profile for a couple of weeks, but they fixed that.

There have been a number of people suspended from Answerbag as well, but I don't see that as being a reason to leave, although I have heard that a lot of users have left because of it.

I have, because EVERY Y!A account I make gets suspended after 1 day after it was made. I came here, because Yahoo! Answers is mean. They said they're a diverse community of questions & answers. But now, they're starting to suspend EVERYONE'S accounts! I'm never creating another Y!A account ever again! >:(

P.S. Jack feels the same way.
