The first time I remember seeing the ocean, I was ten years old. Before that, I may have seen it up until I was five, but I don't remember. From 5 to 10, we lived in Arizona, no ocean.
-
12 years old at Virginia Beach. I remember it so well...I saw dolphins!
-
First time I remember, I was 6. I went to Crystal Beach in Texas. I'd been to beaches before, when I was a baby. I know this, because there were pictures. I probably didn't enjoy it. I can't see how a baby would enjoy going to a sand-covered beach, wearing diapers. And there were no special ones, when I was a baby. It was in the late 1970s.
-
... only 7 months ... we took a ship across the Atlantic in 1960 ...
-
I was 21 and it was at Virginia Beach.
-
I was 28!!!!
-
I was five or six. Virginia Beach. I remember it was so strong it pushed me and my dad's girlfriend out of the water as I sat on her lap.
-
I first put my feet in the ocean when I was 22 years old in Jamaica. I loved it.
-
gosh...1 month old...i dunno...the ocean is a huge part of my life...i so miss it already...living in the desert is quite different...
-
There are pictures of me at some beach I don't even remember, like when I was a year old... the first time I remember seeing it was when I was around 6... driving to Misquamicut Beach, in Westerly, RI... my stepdad saying he could smell the salt water miles before we got there, and then the ocean suddenly coming into view as we reached the peak of the last hill... it was quite a thrill to see so much water spread out in front of us like that... ;-)
-
17, and I've only seen it once since then :(
-
i doubt i was even a year old even. we go to monterey bay all the time
-
I was 11 when we moved to Lakewood, California, and I saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time. Now I'm a block from it. Hope there's never a tsunami.
-
Four, my first view of the ocean was on Long Island!
-
unfortunately, i've never seen it!
-
I was eight.
-
I was a year when my parents rented a house by the ocean.
-
I really don’t know. We went down the shore every summer when I was a kid, but I’m not sure when that started. (Certainly no later than five or six, though)
-
I was 18 when I 1st saw the Pacific Ocean. But since I grew up on a Great Lake, I did not see the big deal at the time.
-
When I was 2 years old and flew over the Atlantic on my journey from Armenia to the USA. =]
-
I was 6 months old. My parents took me on a cruise every year since then.
-
I was 5 when my family first went on vacation to Clearwater, Florida. :)
-
My family moved to the Gulf Coast (Texas) when I was 3, so I was familiar with the concept. However, I didn't actually see an ocean (Pacific) until I was 16 and took a trip to California.
-
I was 15 years old, Miami, Florida. Also saw my first palm trees.
-
Oh, probably only a couple of days old. We lived 50 feet from the ocean for the first seven years of my life.
-
A few days after I was born :)
-
about 8 or 6yrs old
-
Very young to recall. My 2 cents.
-
From my earliest memories. I grew up near the ocean.
-
I was born in Berkeley California, so I was probably a few days old when my folks took me home to Oakland. Dad was in the Navy, and as soon as he got out, they returned to their home town, and I was deprived of the pleasure for another 15 years. I moved To Southern California at the earliest opportunity.
-
I was 21. Flew to California for my then-fiance's graduation from Marine boot camp, and went to the ocean in San Diego. Since then, I've visited the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico several times, as well.
-
Probably 2-3 maybe younger.
-
Very young, I was born on an island.
-
I have no memory of seeing the ocean of the first time, which probably means I've been taken to the beach before I even started remembering stuff
-
I think I was about 4. My Mom and Grandparents took me to the beach and I made a sandcastle with a red bucket. Afterwards I ate my first hamburger. This was one of my first memories.
-
I grew up in a house on the beach, so the first day i came home from hospital i guess.
