  • Well, do you get a decent amount of sleep every night? If you are supposedly getting enough sleep, but are still tired throughout the day you might have a sleeping disorder. A friend of mine had a sleeping disorder where his leg muscles would twitch slightly waking him up all throughout the night. He would get "8 hours" of sleep every night, but really he wasn't really asleep for the whole time. He took ambien to fix the problem. I'd suggest seeing a doctor and asking him if there might be a problem.
  • Because you've been typing away on AnswerBag for 18 friggin' hours! Go to bed!
  • How old are you? if you are nearing menopause or past it, you may be suffering from fibromyalgia. check it out on the web. this is just one symptom of the disease and there many more. i am not a doctor, only from experiences with my wife, who has the disease.
  • Oddly enough, many people are mentally tired and stressed in the modern world, yet physically understimulated. If this fits, try doing a little more physical activity that you enjoy which is easy on the mind - like hiking or walking. Even just walking through a mall - but with no other purpose than excercise.
  • It might be iron deficiency. I have it and i'm tired all the time if i don't take an iron pill.
  • because you don't sleep well...
  • When's the last chance you had a medical checkup, including blood work? All kinds of things could make you tired. You will not know if you have a thyroid problem or many other things you could possibly have that cause fatigue, without seeing a doctor for a good checkup.
  • you may be over-stressed, look into ways to reduce stress and let the body recuperate
  • how much sugar do you eat and drink? It's a killer.
  • becasue you've been running through my mind all night!
  • Apparently you're not eating enough based upon your former question you just recently posted.
  • Well without more information I can't really tell you the exact answer to this. First off, you need to sleep at least 6-8 hours a night. Second, you need to eat balanced meals, and third exercise. You can also take supplements and meditate to get more energy among other things. Try energy drinks for quick boosts. I found a good healthy energy drink with less caffeine and sugar than the other mainstream ones here http://www.voernix.com/2008/07/frs.html. I got a free trial, I think the trial offer is still going if you want to try it out, otherwise I think you can also buy that drink at the store. Check it out works wonders for my energy levels when I need a quick pick me up.
  • Some of these were mentioned above, but in my case the factors were: Thyroid gland running down - get bloodwork done. Stress - a flare-up would leave me feeling exhausted. If you generally often feel emotionally rundown, irritable, or depressed, a presecription of SSRI meds (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) inhibits your brain from reuptaking serotonin. If you have sleep apnea, you could be getting shallow and broken sleep. Diet, as Mushen mentioned, is a biggie, especially as you get past 35. Seasonal and dust allergies don't make me sniffle & sneeze, they just kind of wipe me out. Go to an allergist.
