Okay there seems to be some debate about the actual law in Michigan, so I looked it up (instead of relying on other websites that summarize the age of consent law of all states. The answer to your question is yes. You may legally have sex with someone as old as 20 when you are 16, and 21 when you are 17. However, the crime is only a misdemeanor punishable by "by imprisonment for not more than 2 years or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both." The actual statue reads: 750.520e. Fourth Degree CSC: A person is guilty of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree if he or she engages in sexual contact with another person and if any of the following circumstances exist: That other person is at least 13 years of age and under 16 years of age, and the actor is 5 or more years older than that other person.

The other posters are mistaken. Nicole doesn't even understand what "age of consent" means. Anonymous posted the law pertaining to sexual contact (not intercourse; that would be third degree CSC) with a person aged 13-15. "Under 16" means, on your 16th birthday your lover is in the clear UNLESS they are a parent, teacher, stepparent, or other person in authority, in which case the age of consent is 18.
