  • Maccas, .. dude. They pay heaps, and their training program is recignised pretty much anywhere, too. Which means more job opportunities.
  • Well if you're right out of high school with no experience, you can't really expect much past minimum wage I guess.
  • If you live in the continental USA you could try applying to work onboard Amtrak trains. I started working onboard when I was 21 however I haven't gone to college yet but I still make $19 an hour, have excellent health and dental benefits, a 401k and I make about $100 in tips selling food in the cafe car every three days I work. Just go to Amtrak's website if you are interested; they are required by law to post what they are hiring for! Weird eh?
  • Work as wait staff at an upscale restaurant. When I was 17, I was making almost 30k with tips. No college loans.
