  • Because to just reel of facts and guidelines is boring, and people won't remember it. If you put it into a story, they can visualise it and therefore, the image is in their head. The more vivid the story, the more likely they will remember it. Hence why you see all those workplace safety videos, and why they show you a mini-story in a plane when desrcibing the safety features. It's also why they put people actually using the life jacket etc, because it makes it a narrative over just a lot of dot points, and makes it easier for the travellers to remember what to do in an emergency. Same concept.
