Every week the deers keep knocking over the garbage cans. The cans have secure lids but the deers still knock them over and get to the garbage. What can we put the garbage cans in to avoid this problem?

Run a small current of electricity through them, just enough to shock them. That's how we cured the local raccoons of raiding our cans. (Assuming they are metal, of course.)

Build a box out of wood big enough o fit them in and close and secure a lid on it.

Spray a solution of ammonia and water leading up to and around the base of the cans, on the cans and lids. The smell should help keep them away.

Buy a rifle. Get lots of coffee. You can work out the rest.

Try getting some rolling trashcans with hinged lids. Once that's done, secure the lid using bungie cords, tie them down on the hinge and pull them over the lip of the lid and hook them down.
