  • This depends on what you mean by "illegal" and the means you use to record. It is a crime under federal law to record where there is an expectation of privacy without consent. However, federal law only applies when interstate commerce is involved. Thus, if you used a camera phone to record, then it would be illegal. If you used a web cam hooked up to the internet, it would be illegal. Under Colorado law, it is not a crime to record without the other persons consent. However, it is still a tort, and you would be liable in a civil action.
  • i dont really think its a problem if you use it for private use like watching in the privacy of your own home. but if court matters were to abound from it then yes you cannot do that without permission
  • It all depends on what you're going to do with it. You have the right to record anything in your own home, but you can't do anything you want with it without the proper authorizations.
