Help answer this question below.
It's the rice that gets me every time. I can use the chopsticks (sort of), but getting a bunch of rice... it's like a magic trick. Then I end up trying to bring my mouth to the chopsticks, and all the rice is falling everywhere, and next people start to watch. In conclusion, I get hungry and frustrated and give up. Rat tat tat!
i can use chopsticks...i love using them actually
i can use chopsticks
I use the chop sticks. I'm a terrible drummer.
I can use chopsticks pretty well. I could do either. I think if I'm with my husband and we're out in public, and he isn't up to using them, I'm more into using something else so he doesn't feel different.
hehe! Drum the table defintely drum the table lol :)
I'll sometimes eat with chopsticks. I once impressed a date I was on with how quickly I had learned how to use them after he had showed me.
I ask the waiter for a shovel yo...
I put them in my mouth and pretend I'm a walrus.
I use the chopsticks, in fact we bring our own because we prefer the square wood ones to the round or the plastic.
I do know how to use the chopsticks. I might, however, request wooden ones, as opposed to the plastic ones they've taken to using lately.
You forgot one option: asking for a rubber band to make automatic chopsticks!
But I use them normally, without the rubber band. Korean restaurants are a different story.
im asian and expeht chopstick mastah...
but i arso use spoon! no can dlink hot soup with chopstick!
I use the chopsticks.
Haha. I usually take the chopsticks and keep them as souveniers. :)
Haha one time I went to a Vietnamese restaurant with two Asian friends of mine (both Chinese). When the food was brought to the table, the server gave both of my Asian friends chopsticks and gave me (white guy) a fork. I was little offended - because I'm fairly proficient with chopsticks - but it was still hilarious.
I know how to use them, but I'm faster with a fork.
I'd just ask for a fork.
I use the chopsticks. I'm a pro.
I use chopsticks badly
I make am absolute fool of my self either way because I cant play the drums to save my life and I wear my food if I even attempt to eat with them
The first and third ones... My dad is something of a hippy, so he taught me how to use chopsticks when I was fairly young. I'm also a drummer, so anything vaguely stick shaped gets beat on any flat surface I can find...
I've been slowly learning how to not do that last part in public; because people keep telling me how annoying it is. :/
I totally use the chop sticks!! It takes me sooo long to eat!!! Even my kids are into the chop sticks!!
I don't go to them very often. But when I do, I just bring along my own fork & spoon.....+5 for your question.
I try to use the chopsticks sometimes but I usually don't go past 3 or 4 attempts.
The predominantly Chinese (95% of the customers speak Chinese and use chopsticks) place that we go to has developed the habit of giving me silverware.
I drum on the table with the spoons using one hand while I tilt the plate down and into my mouth with the other. :p
I use the chopsticks.
I'm not good with chopsticks. And I'm chinese! Lol! So.. I ask for a fork. But when I was a kid, I did drum on the table lol.
I ignore them completely and use a fork and knife ^^
No, I go and look for a bloody knife and fork! ;)
Use the chopsticks. I know how to use them, so why not?
I love to use chopsticks!
I use them (though apparently I hold them wrong). When the food's slippery I stab it with the chopsticks.
LOL. Love the question. I only have the use of one hand and arm, so learning to use chopsticks with the good hand was quite beneficial to me. Just one hand to eat with anyway. Yep, I use them, got pretty fair at it too.
I use them, very poorly.
I can manage using chopsticks, though most of the time I end up just using them as spears to impale my shrimp on.
I know how to use chopsticks but am constantly donating mine to the kids. I just use the fork they offer.
I use the chopsticks and handle them very well.
i am really good at chopsticks. but probably better on the piano!
I come right out and ask for a fork. I don't mess with those ridiculous sticks. If they are offended I will take my business elsewhere.
haha, i wud use them as tooth picks.
I use chopsticks. My daughter and I are pretty much regulars at the local Chinese restaurant..so much so that one of the waitresses has taken to teaching us Chinese phrases when we come in. :-)
Whip out my knife and fork. No one can eat with chopsticks, it's physically impossible.
After almost six years in the Far East, if I don't know how to use chopsticks, shame on me! : )
what a cute question. I normally use chopsticks, but also use spoon.
I use the fork and the spoon.
I'm reallly cultured when it comes to tableware.

I suck down the scorpion bowl with a straw...not chopsticks ;-)
I know how to use chopsticks, but I prefer using a fork.
I always ask for a spoon so I can play air banjo.
I always use the chopsticks.
I try to use them. I can sort of do it, but I'm not nearly as good as most customers.
I use the drumsticks - clumsily, but I use them :)

You're reading You're in a Chinese restaurant. Do you use the chopsticks, pretend like you know how to use the chopsticks, or drum on the table?

The trick is to eat like the Chinese. Put the bowl up to your mouth and just shovel the rice in. Works for me. :D
