lol, I have a morowind character my kids ask me to emulate for play. but I wouldnt dress up in public or anything

there was this one guy... he liked imitating superheros. i'm sure he doesn't do it anymore, but he was very funny when he used to do it! i guess he outgrew the habit!

Personally, I find just the opposite most of the time. That is, the people I play D&D with, tend to create characters as much like themselves as possible. With the obvious exceptions, even the bookish nerd-type who plays as a Conan-type Fighter tends to find his/her character becoming more and more like themselves over time. Heck, I even spend the extra time trying to get my X-Box Live and PS Home avatars to look as much like me as possible (right down to the baldness and wrinkles). Hope this helps.
