Help answer this question below.

I have a fairly old Toshiba television (at least 10 years?) and just recently the screen has blacked out. I can still see a small green line, indicating the channel number, or a red one when muted. Sound still works but there is no picture. What is wrong?

The tube is gone. toss it out and replace it.

I have a 40' JVC tv and the picture doesnt waork at all. I can here the sound and the back light turns on, but there is no picture.
